Outboard wanted - 9.9 up to 25 hp in Baltimore, Maryland For Sale

My friend [known him for 37 years], a Smith Islander, financially not doing well, [has a plate in his ankle] ... needs a long shaft, 2-stroke for his skiff ... he is picky ... not a Mercury (burnt up on him - poled & sculled in 8 miles). He often runs up to Deal Island and some times down to Tangiers. One of his jobs is putting in kayak directional signs between the islands and in the guts and he is a primitive painter. The motor needs to be reliable and very reasonably priced (or free). A 25 hp pushes this hand-made skiff nicely.
I am an artist [now days], retired, and a kid just starting University ... My cash flow is thin.
My watercolor [& Giclee print] 18" x 24" of my grandfather [circa: xxxxs}, Waterview, on the Rappahannock River ... he sculled ... among other things.
