The System Administrator (intermediate level) reports to a Supervisor and/or Technical Manager and provides IT Field Operations support for 24x7 LANs and associated applications, peripherals, connectivity and end:users in a Service Desk : Tier II environment. This position relies on instructions and pre:established guidelines to perform the functions of the job while working independently or under immediate supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Responsibilities: Provides comprehensive administration and hands on support of clientA?s 24x7 LAN and mobile environments, related hardware and software.Planning, organizing and execution of all IT support functions to remedy client issues and facilitate resolution of service requests in assigned area of responsibility.Troubleshoots and resolves moderate to complex technical problems to ensure minimal disruption to client mission critical environment.Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and coordinates resolution efforts on behalf of client to resolve LAN/WAN based issues with resource accessibility or usability.Uses IT Service Management software to thoroughly track, document and resolve client issues, changes and service requests within an ITIL inspired enterprise environment.Obtains and analyzes functional business requirements and design specifications needed to facilitate client solutions while maintaining compliance and established quality levels.Administration, monitoring and tuning of systems to ensure optimum level of performance. Collects and analyzes system data for capacity planning and trending analysis.Maintains a secure, patched, upgraded and compliant Windows:based ventory, maintenance and disposition of supported hardware and software.Administration of backup software and participation in disaster recovery and planning efforts to facilitate protection of clientA?s infrastructure and integrity of data.Maintains all compliance and established quality assurance levels for areas of responsibility.Facilitates the creation and administration of user accounts and a subordinate role, work with enterprise team and technical management to provide support for large projects, operations and special customer events.Collaborate with junior and senior technical personnel to ensure problem resolution.Performs endpoint management to provide patching and task automation of servers and desktops to maintain secure and compliant environment.Continually seek opportunities to increase satisfaction and deepen client relationshipApply basic knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clientsPerforms other duties or special projects as assignedKnowledge and Skills:Demonstrated initiative with a strong sense of urgency and purpose.Proven success in the development of customer:centric solutions.Demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices and the ability to understand complex and advanced technical concepts.Demonstrated success in customer service and relationship building.Advanced or Intermediate knowledge of backup software, data storage and backup devices.
