Altamira is seeking a& Software Engineer IV - Cloud, who will provide software development support on one of our Prime Cloud contracts. The environment on this contract is like that of a start-up company. The candidate must be a motivated self- starter who is willing to take the initiative to solve problems. The successful candidate will not wait to be told what to do. They will engage to learn the existing systems and then propose improvements. This is a& FULLY-FUNDED POSITION! Please note this role requires the incumbent to possess an Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. Job Requirements: Provides discipline-specific or system-specific engineering support on systems, system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices and/or processes.Leads entire system life cycle development, including requirements definition, design/prototyping, system integration, testing and validation.Leads project definition, trade-off and design activities, as well as prepares, reviews, and evaluates system documentation, specifications, test plans and procedures.Within the last five& (5) years, a minimum of three& (3) years’ experience developing software/systems with Java.Within the last three& (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year& experience designing and developing applications for execution in distributed computing environmentsWithin the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience utilizing Apache Hadoop framework and Map Reduce.Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. Desired Skills: Demonstrated experience utilizing Puppet and Software Management Console (SMC) to provision software loads for computer clusters. Professional Experience and Accomplishments: Minimum of ten& (10) years working on software intensive projects for government or industry customers, demonstrating increasing levels of technical expertise and responsibility.Demonstrated experience working with large complex engineering systems and/or subsystems.Expertise applied across multiple engineering disciplines such as electrical, computer, software, telecommunications, information security, and networkengineering.
