Mainframe (MF) Software Development Analyst Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) is seeking a Software Development Analyst to join the Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Programs group in Baltimore within the NGC Healthcare Systems Management Division in support of the Medicare Beneficiary Database Suite of Systems (MBDSS)/Medicare Enrollment and Premium Billing Systems (MEPBS) programs. MBDSS, a suite of application systems, is a data exchange for a number of Medicare business processes. MEPBS is the system of record for Medicare Enrollment, Direct Billing for Medicare premium for the population not eligible for SSA benefits or cannot be covered by SSA, and Third Party system covering Medicare premium. These are CMS mission critical systems that play a key role in integrating various CMS internal systems and external business partners. The systems are characterized by a large number of internal and external interfaces and high volume data processing. Northrop Grumman is the prime contractor for MBDSS/MEPBS programs. Role: The analyst typically performs the following tasks: Researches, designs, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and applications software. Assists with planning system and development deployments. Meets software compliance standards. Provides documents on testing and maintenance of system corrections. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Conducts Unit and Integration Testing of software. Documents testing results and maintenance of system corrections. Meets with Business Analysts to fully understand requirements, changes, modifications and updates to code. Conducts peer reviews and provides input for requirements and design documents. Modifies existing documentation based upon peer review comments and input. Meets with Testers to resolve coding and testing issues. Provides statuses to the Project and Technical Managers. Provides input and feedback to requirements meetings. Meets with Client to resolve technical issues. Ensures compliance with Client software and hardware standards. Participates in design reviews with the customer. Provides input into project plans and schedules. Communicates verbally and written to the development and management staff in a clear, concise and professional manner. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. Demonstrates skills in problem solving and responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction.
