Northrop Grumman is seeking Windows, UNIX, Linux, and Solaris System Administrator/Systems Architect to join our team in defining the future. This position will be located in Linthicum, Maryland. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Technology Services Sector supporting multiple high visibility programs. The selected candidate will be responsible designing, testing and implementing advanced solutions for state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, database products, desktop computers/servers, disaster recovery, and storage solutions residing in closed areas. Will be responsible for managing and maintaining a smooth operation of servers/desktops/routers/switches while working with network, software, and hardware engineers that are remote and on site. The candidate will serve as the subject matter expert and function as the technical/consultant lead architect for junior system administrators in providing closed area support recommendations and solutions. Will lead all stages of system development efforts, including requirements definition, design, architecture, testing, and support and be involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, customer network implementation and network access.
