Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks an Advanced System Architect 6 for the Advanced Concepts and Technologies organization. The Advanced System Architect will focus on maximizing the efficient use of processing elements in secure and tamper-proof high-performance signal processing systems. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in concert with our customers to significantly contribute to our innovative group developing system architectures, and defining key system capabilities and performance requirements. He/she will have broad technical experience, be highly driven / proactive, and have the ability to develop and sustain relationships with a wide variety of internal and external customers. Strong leadership and excellent communication skills are also required. The Advanced System Architect will focus on programs within the Transformational Technology Business Area. Transformational Technology is focused on developing state-of-the-art next generation superconducting electronics (SCE) and advanced computing technologies. Responsibilities include: - Technical support to HPEC solutions (High Performance Embedded Computing) - System design and performance specifications/analysis - Developing technical roadmaps - Proposal support - White paper response - International support (dual UK/US) - Security and cyber support - Network and distributed architecture development We are looking for a candidate who has strong technical skills across multiple domains – breadth, as well as depth (although not necessarily at the Subject Matter Expert level). An ideal attribute is having an entrepreneurial bent, comfortable at interacting with, and shaping technical customers to define concepts and find innovative solutions to problems.
