The primary purpose of this position is to provide excellent customer service to Authority visitors, employees, and vendors. The incumbent is responsible for front:line customer interaction and service and acts as the main point of contact for individuals calling in or walking in to the HR department to request information. This position maintains employee files and provides administrative support to HR staff. All activities must support the Housing Authority of Baltimore City (A?HABCA? or A?AuthorityA? ) mission, strategic goals, and objectives.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe position duties and responsibilities listed below describe the general nature and scope of work. Other responsibilities, duties and skills may be required and assigned, as needed.ï? Acts as a customer service representative to the HR department, ensuring visitors, employees, and vendors are provided the appropriate information in a timely and professional manner.ï? Interacts respectfully and effectively with visitors, employees, vendors, and other staff members while providing answers to inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.ï? Creates, prepares, updates, and maintains HABC employee files in a manner consistent with HABC, local, state, and federal regulations. Ensures ongoing organization and compliance of employee files.ï? Ensures employee files are checked in and out appropriately and that employee file inventory is maintained in a manner consistent with HABCA?s HR Standard Operating Procedures.ï? Runs reports from HRIS employee database as requested.ï? Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files; performs paper and system audits as necessary.ï? Enters data into HRIS system, ensuring the accuracy of information.ï? Assists with new:hire orientation scheduling.ï? Processes new:hire, status change, and termination paperwork.ï? Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.ï? Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum and/or Experience AssociateA?s Degree in human resources or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources, benefits administration, or customer service. BachelorA?s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
