That story has been stalking you like a nightmare hiding in the closet or lurking under the bed, waiting for the moment past the witching hour to crawl out and... one day... find its way into print. You've always wanted to write a NOVEL but never got around to it.... Maybe now is the time.
For the past few years I've been writing and rewriting screenplays for writers, actors, directors, and producers. I've sold five screenplays and two have been shot and are in post. Plus I've read about 3,000 screenplays as a script analyst and for screenwriting contests. And finally I've written four novels (one with a client) and am now beginning the process of looking for a publishing agent.
To write a novel I work from a story then create a premise, scene-by-scene outline and a cast of characters. I sometimes work with the client to create these over the phone and sometimes I do all the work on my own. Every job is different and it depends on how involved you want to be. Once the writing process begins, I write several chapters and then send it to the client and we evaluate each section before proceeding to the next.
I charge $3,000 to write a Novel and we share co-authorship (50/50 ownership--I'm not interested in Ghost Writing). It only costs $500.00 to start. Once we've completed the premise, outline and characters then I take another $500.00 payment and start writing. A payment of $1,000 is due when I hit the midpoint and the final $1,000 when I complete a first draft. I take PayPal or a check. All rewrites are free, as we both own the manuscript. I charge so little because I want to get involved with great ideas.
After the manuscript is polished and edited then I write a short synopsis (1-2 pages) and a query letter. Once we have that then we seek out a Publishing Agent (if I don't have one by then). I also write, rewrite and analyze screenplays.
