Meet Annie (aka Annie Bananie), a really fabulous calico we rescued from a high kill shelter with her six babies. Annie was so sick, that she couldn't nurse her babies. She could barely breathe, she had pneumonia so bad. Her babies were sent to a foster who bottle fed them, and we kept Annie so we could get her much needed vet care. Slowly, she got better and now she's a marvelous little pixie of a cat! Annie likes to find you at the end of each day. She will come up to me at my computer and sit in front of it and give me a look that blatantly says "Mom, that's enough for today. It's time to relax with Annie bug." She has this way of looking directly into you, as if she's a wise old soul who's seen the world and wants to teach you things. She has almost no meow, and she doesn't really use it anyway.
